PORTLAND NON-PROFIT DELIVERS NORTHWEST WIND ENERGY IN SUPPORT OF ROLLING STONES CONCERT

Bonneville Environmental Foundation delivers Green Tags in support of a free concert to 'Turn Up the Heat on Global Warming' hosted by the Natural Resources Defense Council.

February 6, 2003 (Portland, OR) Portland's non-profit Bonneville Environmental Foundation (BEF) announced today the sale of Green Tags sourced from Northwest wind energy resources in support of the Rolling Stones concert to 'Turn Up the Heat on Global Warming.' Hosted by the Natural Resources Defense Council (NRDC), the free concert will be held February 6, 2003 at the Staples Center in Los Angeles, California and is certified 'Climate Cool' by the Climate Neutral Network.

Sold together with Wind Certificates through Native Energy, BEF's Green Tags will offset every ton of carbon dioxide generated by the concert - from the power for the sound and lighting to the air and ground travel for the Rolling Stones and NRDC staff.

The concert is offered free to fans in order to build awareness around climate change issues. For additional information on the concert, visit: www.nrdcstonesconcert.org

About BEF
The Bonneville Environmental Foundation, a non-profit organization, was established in 1998 to further the development and use of new renewable energy resources. Through revenues generated from the sales of green power products, BEF funds projects that restore damaged watersheds and support new renewable energy projects from solar, wind and bio-mass. BEF pioneered the sale of Green Tags in 1999 and has helped establish national standards for certification and trading. Created by regional environmental groups and the Bonneville Power Administration, the Foundation operates collaboratively but independent of both. Visit online at www.B-E-F.org
