  • Timberline Lodge Celebrates White and Green

    December 3, 2007 - Oregon’s slopes are turning white and green this ski season. Timberline Lodge, the Northwest’s premier snow sport destination, today announced a partnership with nonprofit Bonneville Environmental Foundation (BEF) to green the new Jeff Flood Express chairlift by purchasing renewable energy certificates (also known as Green Tags). Timberline will also offer BEF SkiGreen™ Tags for $2 to individual customers who wish to offset their drives to and from the mountain.

  • Going Green Brings Bonneville Environmental Foundation The Gold

    October 23, 2007 - Demonstrating that going green is red hot with consumers, Bonneville Environmental Foundation (BEF) today announced the receipt of Green Power Leadership Awards for two initiatives: the Clif Bar and SkiGreen partnership and the Western Washington Green Power Campaign. Bestowed by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, the U.S. Department of Energy and the Center for Resource Solutions, these awards were announced during a ceremony held Oct. 22 in Philadelphia to recognize significant advances in developing renewable electricity sources.

  • 2007 Los Premios MTV Latin America Apoyos Energía Verde

    October 19, 2007 - In addition to celebrating Latin America’s top music, this year’s Los Premios MTV Latin America 2007 awards show included an environmental theme. MTV Latin America has purchased renewable energy, through Green Tags, from the non-profit organization Bonneville Environmental Foundation (BEF) to offset a significant portion of the greenhouse gas emissions impacts associated with the event.
