Momentum River Expeditions is partnering with the national non-profit Bonneville Environmental Foundation (BEF) to offset the carbon emissions emitted while shuttling you to and from your river adventure by purchasing Green Tags. Each Green Tag represents 1,000 kilowatt-hours of renewable energy entering the grid an d offsets a minimum of 1200 pounds of CO2—equal to approximately 800 miles flown or 1500 miles driven. BEF Green Tags are certified by the industry standard Green-e® Climate program and meet an independent environmental review endorsed by regional and national environmental organizations including the Natural Resources Defense Council (NRDC).
We encourage you to take energy efficiency initiatives that will reduce the carbon footprint of your home, travel, event or business. To round out greening your lifestyle, offset the remaining emissions with Green Tags. 
Your purchase of Green Tags will help ensure that clean, renewable power is generated for the grid. All net revenue is reinvested to serve BEF’s two-fold mission of providing 10 year funding and support to watershed restoration projects and promoting the development of new solar and wind energy projects throughout the country.

Just enter your information about your traveling, heating, and electricity usage and the calculator will tell you how much CO2 is emitted from these activities and how many Green Tags are needed to offset them.
